Shooting Transformation: Set Shot 2 Jumper

Own the mid-range with an explosive pull up Jumper!

This video will teach coaches and players how to change their basketball shooting mechanics from a set shot to jump shot.  All youth players shoot a set shot early in their development, released while the shooter's feet are ON the ground.  Once strong enough, a jump shot will make a player significantly more dynamic, released while the shooter's feet are OFF the ground.  This makes a player's shot extremently difficult to block due to a higher release.  It also allows players to be more explosive with a quicker release off the dribble and the catch.  While the mid-range is no longer an emphasis at the professional level due to analytics (they typically shoot 3's or layups), it is a lost art at the high school and college levels.

Coach Tony Huml defines fundamental shooting mechanics, proper footwork and terms (cue words) that are simple to remember, making it easier to coach.  He then instructs his son, Jack Huml, demonstrating 28 drills focused on developing an explosive jumper.  If you're looking to differentiate your game from teammates or opponents, developing a jump shot will do just that.  We welcome the opportunity to help you reach your basketball shooting goals!
